Woods. The Agency was formed to provide a place for indian traders to buy insurance. In 1951, their nephew, Gordon Woods, joined the agency along with Herb Dickinson. In 1985 the agency was sold to R.L. "Bunky" Owen, who in 1994 purchased the Culpepper Agency and merged it with Woods Insurance Service.\n\nIn 2003 Lyle Love Jr. joined the agency. Since that time, Woods Insurance Service has grown to be one of the largest agencies in the region with offices in Farmington NM, Cortez CO and Durango CO.
